My memorial day brunch: spaghetti and a fried egg

It's not really much different from eating tomatoes, eggs, and toast, I thought to myself. Or eating a fried egg with pizza for that matter. It also seemed a good way to introduce protein into a pasta dish. So this morning I whipped up a simple pasta sauce (canned tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh basil, olive oil, and butter) and laid a fried egg over it.

To be honest, the first egg was a complete failure. It turned green from too much olive oil, and I broke the yolk, causing me to panic and overcook it. The whole idea was to have a runny yolk to eat with the pasta. So I cooked up a second one (shown in the second picture). Two eggs for breakfast is normal anyway, right?

Part of the inspiration was from my Italian friend Simone, who showed me last weekend how to cook a delicious pasta sauce by cooking a beat egg and cheese together.

My LA Korean BBQ experience: Road To Seoul

My family continued its all-you-can-eat theme with unlimited Korean BBQ for about $18.

For those who know the complete story, a table 10 feet from us dropped a plate of Kim chee and covered all of us and our table in red Korean pepper sauce. How is this even physically possible, you ask? Such are the wonders of LA K Town.
